Paper Whetstone is an arena for written discourse over issues of international security, strategy, and policy. We welcome original articles and encourage responses to articles from any source.
Requirements for article submission:
- Between 750-1000 words
- No appeals to emotion. Something being the “right thing to do” or “in accordance with values” are not strong arguments. Example: Instead of arguing that accepting refugees is morally superior, you may consider arguing that accepting refugees presents a more welcoming posture to the global Muslim community and thus undermines the radicalization strategy of extremist groups.
- Cite facts and statistics.
- Be ready and willing to read and consider rebuttal articles.
